CAWP is holding a day long DOT Compliance / Safety Seminar for Commercial Motor Vehicle Drivers to ensure compliance with federal and state laws and to prevent accidents. This seminar will benefit your company by avoiding costly violations, preventing vehicle downtime, ensuring drivers are not put “out-of-service”, reducing potential for crashes, and detecting a vehicle’s safety-related defects or violations before it enters a highway. The PA State Police - Motor Carrier Enforcement Officers (MCEO’s) and industry specialists from All State Careers will conduct the seminar.

LOCATION:	Cranberry Township Public Works Operations Facility, Cranberry Township, PA
TOPICS:	* Basic Federal and State Regulations (covering Commercial Motor Vehicles)
	* Driver Documentation Requirements (such as logbooks and timesheets)
	* Load Securement (how to properly secure a load)
	* Defensive Driving (ways to avoid collisions and violations)
	* Driver Wellness (emphasis on fatigue, ergonomics, and lifestyle - diet & exercise)
	* Pre-Trip Inspection Requirements (conduct a walk-around inspection)
	* Mock Roadside Inspection of Low Boy & Tri-Axle (‘live' demonstration of what to expect when stopped by Enforcement Officers)
	* Question and Answer Session (be proactive…don’t wait until pending violations)
