2008 Construction Camps for Middle School Students |
The Constructors Association is glad to announce the 2008 Construction Camps are being held in two Westmoreland County locations this summer. These week-long camps are for seventh and eighth grade students. Westmoreland County residency is not a requirement.
The activities during the camp will consist of hands-on projects focusing on Carpentry, Masonry, Electrical, HVAC, and Plumbing. Students will also attend field trips to a local highway project and the Operating Engineers Apprenticeship site.
The second annual Construction Camp will be held at the Eastern Westmoreland Career & Technology Center from June 9-13, 2008 and Central Westmoreland Career & Technology Center from June 16-20, 2008. The registration fee is $25, with lunch and transportation provided from centralized locations.
