They can set the price of gas to whatever they want, the governor stated. The small savings for drivers would be miniscule compared to the amount of road and bridge money the state would lose, he opined. The governor remarked that a temporary gas holiday is not a good idea. He added that with regard to diesel, the truckers who complain about the prices are also the ones who complain about the condition of the state’s roads and bridges.
