Signal Person Workshop

Complying with OSHA’s New Crane Standard

To assist contractors in complying with OSHA’s new Crane Standard that becomes effective on November 9, 2010, CAWP has scheduled a signal person workshop on October 29, 2010.

This workshop will cover the signal person requirements from OSHA’s new Crane Standard, crane operations and limitations related to signaling, ASME standard hand, voice, and audible signals, and “hands on training” with the use of a crane.

The course is ideal for individuals who will be establishing an employer-based signal person training program or for individuals interested in obtaining the National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO) signal person certification. Attendees will learn what content is taught during signal person training and what is required for testing, evaluations, and documentation. Attendees will not be qualified as a signal person during this course.
