Work Zone Awareness Week Parkway East Press Event

On Wednesday, April 21, CAWP and PennDOT held a Press Conference to promote Workzone Awareness Week. The event was held in an active workzone, at the location of one of the billboards designed by CAWP utilizing winning entries of the Kids Construction Safety Calendar. The board was located on the Parkway East, and members of PennDOT, OSHA, and several media outlets were invited to attend. Also in attendance were Jadelyn Horter, one of the winners of the Calendar Contest whose mother works for IA Construction, and Kierra Shreffler, another winner of the contest whose drawing was chosen to be featured on the billboards, whose father works for McKinney Drilling. The event was designed to draw attention to the billboards, with locations on the Parkways East, West, and North, Route 56, Route 422, and I-70, as well as draw attention to the importance of Workzone Awareness Week. Thank you to Swank Associated Companies for hosting this safety awareness event inside their workzone.
