A Message from the CAWP President

As members of the Constructors Association of Western Pennsylvania, we know that keeping our infrastructure in good working order takes hard work, as well as continued federal, state and local investments, so private companies like ours can continue to build a world-class infrastructure system. However, given the budget realities our leaders are facing in Harrisburg and Washington, that funding is at risk of being cut significantly. Now more than ever, it is important to strengthen our relationships with elected officials who share our vision of additional investments in our roads, bridges and other vital infrastructure.

At this critical juncture in our industry, I am asking you to support the CAWP Political Action Committee (PAC) by attending and supporting my CAWP President’s PAC Party, which will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2011 at Destiny Hill Farm in Washington, Pennsylvania. The CAWP PAC’s mission is more than just to assist in electing pro-heavy and highway construction candidates. It also earns CAWP members the respect and influence they deserve in Harrisburg and Washington.

While contributing to this event is a worthy cause and shows your support for our industry, it also provides the opportunity to come together as an Association. I encourage you to bring your company personnel to this event as well. We have an enjoyable time planned with cocktails, a barbeque dinner, live music, raffles and prizes.
