LABOR - CAWP negotiates and interprets the CAWP Labor Agreement for member personnel, industry estimators, payroll personnel and project supervisors who need timely, accurate answers involving project labor personnel.
CAWP WEBSITE MEMBERS ONLY AREA - Areas of the CAWP Website are “locked” and are only accessible by CAWP members with valid usernames and passwords. These areas provide our members with valuable information to use in their business.
FULL TIME STAFF - The CAWP Staff, with a full range of expertise and over 100 years of experience, is available to answer member questions on a wide range of personnel compliance issues.
MEMBERSHIP DIRECTORY - Every year, CAWP publishes its Membership Directory, listing all Contractor and Associate members, Committees, Professional Councils, Unions, Affiliate Associations, and PennDOT Districts. This directory is a valuable tool for locating a company, service, or person you want to do business with.
NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES - CAWP Members network to expand their contacts and business opportunities at events such as our Annual Dinner/Monte Carlo, Annual Meeting, Annual Golf Outing and various other events and meetings.
LEGISLATIVE - CAWP represents the construction industry’s interests, acting as a liaison between the membership and government bodies at both the state and federal levels to enact legislation favorable to the Industry.
SAFETY TRAINING - Professional and Industry-specific training is conducted regularly (OSHA 10-Hour, First Aid/CPR, Supervisory training, HAZWOPER, etc.), as well as periodically in response to OSHA mandated requirements and regulations. Course fees are considerably less than if the course was taken elsewhere.
SAFETY VIDEO LIBRARY - CAWP maintains a video library and inventory of over 30 safety videos, that are available for members to borrow at no charge. These videos are frequently used by safety personnel to train employees on safe work practices, proper methods, and current regulations.
PROFESSIONAL COUNCIL - Here’s how it works: Members who have a question and require a quick opinion or discussion can call a CAWP Professional Council member (the council is made up of various CAWP Associate members) and identify themselves as a CAWP member. Council members will provide investment, legal, accounting, and tax answers free of charge or obligation.
COMMITTEES - CAWP offers numerous committee participation opportunities in which individuals may partake, including Education, Activities, Labor, Legislative, Safety, and more.
PLANS ROOM - CAWP maintains plans for Turnpike, Port Authority and Alcosan projects in the 33 counties of western Pennsylvania. Members are welcome to visit the Plans Room during CAWP office hours (M-F 8-5).
NEWSLETTERS - The CAWP Executive Summary is mailed out to all members containing information regarding legislative updates, training courses, events, news, and trends affecting the industry. This newsletter also includes the Plans Room listing, Membership Profiles, and Bulletin Summary’s.
