Send Pictures and Videos of Your Highway Projects

As part of its ongoing workforce development initiatives, the Association is currently working on a project to educate the future workforce about career opportunities in the highway construction industry.  To complete this project, we need pictures and videos from our contractor members. 

CAWP is asking that you review the list of pictures and video needed and see if you can help.  This is an opportunity to showcase your projects, while at the same time assisting us in educating your future workforce.

The following is a list of pictures and video needed by CAWP:

Photos

•       Inside and outside of job trailer
•       Flagger wearing PPE
•       Erosion control products being used on a highway construction project
•       Earthwork operations
•       Trucks used in earthmoving operations (i.e., tri-axles, articulated end dumps, water truck, fuel truck)
•       Interior pictures of the cabs of dozers, graders, and excavators
•       Blueprints of line and grade work
•       Installation of piping on highway project
•       Trench boxes being used to install piping and drainage
•       Retaining systems being constructed on a highway project
•       Shoring and pile driving operations on a highway project
•       Forming for a bridge pier
•       Interior pictures of the cab of a crane
•       Finishing concrete on a highway or bridge project
•       Asphalt paving operations
•       Concrete paving operations  

Videos

Videos can be brief and should highlight the following operations:

•       Delivering equipment to a highway project
•       Showing Traffic Control setup and maintenance (i.e., setting channelizing devices, cones, barrels, concrete barrier, signs, message boards, arrow boards)
•       Large trees being removed during clearing operations
•       Wood chipper in operation during clearing operations
•       Earthmoving equipment in action on highway construction project (i.e., dozers, graders, compactors, excavators
•       GPS technology being used with a grader and/or dozer during earthmoving operations
•       Hoisting pipe into excavation for installation
•       Laser sighting being used while installing piping
•       A Drill drilling holes for construction of retaining system on highway project
•       Placing pre-cast lagging on highway project
•       Excavator in action during foundation and shoring operations on highway project
•       Forming of any kind on a highway and/or bridge project
•       Driving pile on highway project
•       Driving sheet pile on highway project
•       Rebar cage being craned into place on highway project
•       Tying rebar cages on a highway project
•       Placing of concrete for bridge piers on highway project
•       Setting of concrete beams on bridge project
•       Installation of SIP decking on bridge project
•       Asphalt paving operations
•       Concrete paving operations
