CAWP is proud to promote the Drug-Free Work Week on October 19 through October 25, 2009. The purpose of Drug-Free Work Week is to educate employers, employees and the general public about the importance of being drug-free as an essential component of a safe and healthful workplace.
Employers and employees in the construction industry can learn about how to participate in Drug-Free Work Week and ways they can promote drug-free workplace messages by visiting the Department of Labor's Working Partners for an Alcohol- and Drug-Free Workplace website at
www.dol.gov/workingpartners.
Supervisors can be the first line of defense by taking appropriate action when a worker may be impaired. Please click here for the
