Contractor Member Requirements

Membership is available to:

To contractors:
1. either signatory to, or interested in becoming signatory to, heavy highway utility and railroad labor agreements* and,
2. engaged in heavy, highway, utility or railroad construction work (highways, roads, street paving, road and/or street maintenance, bridges, sewers, water lines, tunnels, pipe lines, excavation, sewage treatment plants, water works, locks and dams, railroad work, and harbor and dock construction, etc.) In general, all classes of construction work exclusive of building construction.

Membership is subject to approval by a majority vote of the CAWP Board of Governors.

* Carpenters, Cement Masons, Laborers, Operating Engineers, Pile Drivers, and Teamsters
