Be our guest! Attendees are invited to kick off the Annual Meeting at the Porte Cochere at Disney’s Contemporary Resort for an evening of food, drinks and some very special guests! Attendees will have the opportunity to meet Rapunzel and Flynn Ryder and Belle and the Beast during our reception.  Due to time and space limitations, autographs will not be allowed and photos with all guests are not guaranteed.

Be sure to stick around to view the Magic Kingdom fireworks display from our reception area!

7:00  p.m.                         Group Dinner – American Adventure Rotunda & Italy Isola, EPCOT

Inside the main hall of the American Adventure Pavilion, the classic elegance of Colonial America is sure to set the tone for a grand evening! We will gather beneath the hall’s soaring rotunda for dinner, drinks, and delicious sweet treats. We will be joined by none other than Mickey & Minnie for the duration of our dinner. Due to time and space limitations, autographs will not be allowed.

Following dinner, attendees will make their way to Italy Isola for a front row seat for an epic fireworks show over the lagoon.

***Transportation will be provided for attendees for the group dinner. Park tickets are not required. Details are as follows:

6:00 p.m. – Attendees gather at Disney’s Contemporary Resort Westside Convention Center. Wristbands for group dinner will be distributed. Wristbands are used for your entry to the dinner and the fireworks viewing area.

6:20 p.m. – Busses depart for group dinner.

Upon arrival at EPCOT, attendees will pass through security. Please have IDs on hand.

Following the fireworks show, attendees will be escorted back to the busses to return to the resort.

 

Saturday, February 10
7:30 a.m. –  9:00 a.m.    Closing Breakfast – Fantasia K – Q, Disney’s Contemporary Resort

Bid farewell to your fellow attendees at our closing breakfast.

Attendees are invited to a closing brunch with some of your favorite Pixar characters including Mike & Sully from Monster’s Inc. and Mr. & Mrs. Incredible! Due to time and space limitations, autographs will not be allowed and photos with all guests are not guaranteed.

Orlando temperatures in February are typically in the low to mid-70s during the day, with a low chance of rain.

WHAT TO PACK

Comfortable, weather appropriate clothing and good walking shoes are suggested attire for the parks at Walt Disney World Resort.

Proper attire, including shoes and shirts, must be worn at all times. The parks are a casual, family-oriented environment. Ensuring that the parks are family-friendly is an important part of the Disney experience. In that spirit, we ask you to use your discretion and common sense.

Inappropriate Attire 

Disney reserves the right to deny admission to or remove any person wearing attire that is considered inappropriate or attire that could detract from the experience of other Guests. Attire that is not appropriate for the parks—and which may result in refusal of admittance—includes but is not limited to:

  • Costumes and costume masks, which may not be worn by Guests 14 years of age or older.
Exceptions:
  1. Specific Halloween and Christmas events. See below.
  2. Some outfits inspired by Star Wars. Learn more
  • Clothing with objectionable material, including obscene language or graphics
  • Excessively torn clothing
  • Clothing which, by nature, exposes excessive portions of the skin that may be viewed as inappropriate for a family environment
  • Clothing that touches or drags on the ground
  • Clothing with multiple layers is subject to search upon entry
  • Objectionable tattoos

GETTING AROUND

With the Walt Disney World transportation network, you may find that you don’t need to rent a car when you visit Walt Disney World Resort. Relax and leave the driving to us!

AIR TRAVEL RESERVATIONS
Travel to the Orlando from Pittsburgh is possible via most major carriers, with convenient connections.

GROUND TRANSPORTATION

Unfortunately, Magical Express transportation service ended December 31, 2021.

Mears is the company that operated the buses for Disney World’s Magical Express service.

Guest have several options with transfer services to and from Orlando International airport.

Please note, you will need flight info and CC # to book.

Transportation between the airport and your Walt Disney World resort hotel:

Shuttle transportation, private transfers, ride share options like Uber or Lyft, or Rental Car

Mears Connect | Driven by Sunshine

Mears has two options – Standard or Express Transportation.  Express will offer limited to no wait at the airport and guaranteed first stop to your resort and final destination to the airport.  See below for pricing.

Standard

  • Standard service is shared transportation with the possibility of stopping at several resorts.
  • Standard service is $20.90 per adult and $14.85 per child from the airport to your resort.
  • Standard service is $19 per adult and $13.50 per child from your resort to the airport.
  • Standard roundtrip service totals $39.90 per adult and $28.35 per child.
  • Children ages 3-9 are at the child rate.

Express

  • Express service will offer direct resort service with limited wait times. Express service is not considered a private car service, but could be as a result of arrival time and volume.
  • This service costs $250 for up to four guests. Additional guests can be added for $55 each.
  • Express service is available for round trip transfers only.

Important Information

  • Car seats are not offered with the Mears Connect service as they are not required in their commercial vehicles but you are welcome to bring your own.
  • Standard and Express service may be on a motor coach, shuttle van, or small vehicle.

Private Car Transfers

  • If you prefer the convenience and privacy of a private transfer.
  • Many of these services offer a variety of transportation options for small to large group sizes and can add a stop at locations near the route such as a grocery store.
  • Prices will vary by party size but may be more economical than other options and car seats can be added to your reservation – often at no additional cost!

Car Rentals

  • Enjoy the convenience of having a rental car during your stay and come and go as you please!

Rideshare Options

  • there is also the option to use a taxi or shared ride service such as Uber or Lyft to get to your resort.
  • Please note that surge pricing and longer wait times are often in effect at Orlando International Airport (MCO).

Mears Connect Standard and Express will offer services that accommodate wheelchairs.

Be sure to consider your luggage and stroller size so that it will fit in your selected transportation option!

Q. What is the attire for the welcome reception and/or group dinner event?

A. Attire at the Welcome Reception and the Group Dinner is resort wear. While many CAWP events require business casual attire, the Annual Meeting is a more relaxed and family-friendly affair. Appropriate attire for these two specific events would include polo shirts, dressier t-shirts, golf shorts, sundresses, casual skirts, comfortable shoes, etc.

Q. How do we get to the group dinner?

A. Transportation to the group dinner is being provided for all attendees.

At 6:00 p.m. – attendees should gather at Disney’s Contemporary Resort Westside Convention Center. Wristbands for group dinner will be distributed which will be used for your entry to the dinner and the fireworks viewing area.

6:20 p.m. – Busses depart for group dinner.

Upon arrival at EPCOT, attendees will pass through security. Please have IDs on hand.

Following the fireworks show, attendees will be escorted back to the busses to return to the resort. The return time to the resort is estimated to be 10:00 p.m.

Q. Do we need park tickets to attend the group dinner?

A. No. Park tickets are not needed to attend the group dinner, because the group will arrive together on the busses provided.

Q. What do we need to be admitted to group dinner?

A. At time of departure, you will receive a wrist band for entry to the group dinner. As we enter the park for the dinner all attendees will pass through security. Please have your ID on hand for the security check. They may not be needed, but they are recommended.
